I'm looking for hotel recommendations from those who have stayed in the area before.

Thanks

Gonna need some more info, mainly what type of price range are we talking about, and do you care more about being close to the stadium/airport/bars etc?

I've heard the stadium is on the metro. Is that correct? I'm not so much worried about the price, but no more than 200$ a night would be best. I think we may make a weekend of it. I would like to go into DC one day, and visit some of the museums. Other than that we're open. We'd like to be close to restaurants, but bars are not a requirement. We'll be driving up, so I really don't care to be to close to the airport noise.

Thanks

I would stay in DC. You can be in DC to enjoy the sights and all and then take the metro to the stadium. It's on the blue line. Given the amount of traffic going there, that is the only way of getting there that I recommend. I also would encourage you not to wander off too far from the stadium because some of the surrounding neighborhoods are sketchy. The only thing you need to know is where the stadium is and where the metro is. Trust me there is nothing around worth exploring, just go back to DC if you still want to hang out. Some hotel suggestions near the metro:

L'Enfant Plaza Hotel

Crown Plaza Hamilton

and if you are just trying to be cheap

Courtyard Washington

had a nice stay here and they list rooms for that night for $170, near Ford's Theatre and across the street from the Metro. We got the room through Hot Wire and paid considerably less than advertised at the time. I'm guessing that weekend won't be a high demand for rooms as it's just before Thanksgiving.
