I personally don't care what happens regarding Manziel but sheesh....come on people.
Even Peyton Manning threw more interceptions than TD's his rookie year.
Why is everyone in such a hurry to predict\condemn all these players?
Just can't wait for the season to start and got a bad itch?
lol
You are correct. Peyton Manning had a rough start, as did Troy Aikman in his rookie year with the Cowboys. Both turned out to be damn good QBs. Of course given the overall disdain by the national media for anything Cleveland, it's easy for people to hate on the kid.
Well, I actually had some (high) hopes for the Browns until today's debacle vs. the (0-6) Jax(offs). Hoyer looked just awful... worse even than Brady Quinn, Brandon Weeden et. al. high-school-grade hacks the brownies have tried to field. I like Hoyer's attitude and the fact he's a local (if you call Lakewood "local" that is ;-) guy but.. I gotta say... heeeeerrreees Johnny!
I mean WTF do we have to lose at this point... its not like Hoyer is some franchise QB LOL... geez he wasn't even drafted after walking-on and red-shirting @ MSU.

The loss was a team effort, not just Hoyer. With the exception of the secondary, which finally stepped up, the whole team played like s***! It was team effort, from the coaching on down. Going for it on 4th down up 6-0 right before halftime? Really? Take the damn points, it's 9-0, and more than likely makes a difference in the outcome. Furthermore... you mean to tell me we can't find a solid return man on this team? Why on God's green Earth was Poyer even trying to play that ball on the goal line? You let that s*** go into the endzone for cryin' out loud!
In short let's not have a knee jerk reaction and rush Johnny Manziel before he is ready. He will get his turn. In the meantime, it's still Hoyer's team.

The Browns had much bigger problems than Hoyer in that game. Mainly letting a Jax rusher run for 100+ when you can question if they even had 100+ the first five or six games combined.
Johnny would not have helped yesterday. Hoyer is the man for the job at this juncture.
