If they played all three (Seahawks, Eagles, Packers) back-to-back RIGHT NOW, they WOULD NOT go 3-0. No matter where the games were played....Carolina has had one of the easiest schedules in football this year. Certainly doesn't mean they arent a good team. You just have a bias against Seattle, and for the record, neither Pittsburgh or Minnesota are crappy teams, and Seattle beat em both during this current streak...

Seattle is the team to beat in the NFC. They have arguably the most talent after Arizona, and they are the only TEAM with championship pedigree and experience. The way they are currently playing, you are misinformed in your football knowledge if you seriously don't think they are a legitimate threat for another Bowl run...
Stop the season../. Seattle you can have your parade....as this poster has given you the inside track.

Have you learned NOTHING from the NY Giants 07 and 11 seasons. Or Arizona's SB run? Or Green Bay's?

None of those teams were given a chance in hell as the season ended. The NFL playoffs are a CRAPSHOOT..anyone who gets in...can win/

I found an interesting nuance in the NFC Playoffs.

The Seahawks destroyed the Vikings a couple weeks ago. The Seahawks also lost today, falling to 9-6 on the year. The Falcons won, improving to 8-7. The Vikings play the Giants tonight. Let's say they lose, and drop to 9-6. Here's where it gets interesting.

It's reasonable to expect the Seahawks, who have already clinched, to lose next week @ Cardinals. Meanwhile it's not so absurd to believe the Vikings drop to 9-7 after dropping the season finale to the Packers. If both teams finish with the same record the Seahawks get the 5 seed and the Vikings get the 6 seed. Reasonable enough, right? But what if the Falcons beat the Saints in week 17 and improve to 9-7? It throws the head to head out and the Seahawks and Falcons and Vikings all finish in a three-way tie. In some scenarios (the Falcons need a win and help*) the Seahawks and Vikings are still the WC teams, but the Vikings move up to the 5 seed and the Seahawks drop to the 6 seed despite having a win over the Vikings.

Fascinating.

* Oddly enough, in a 3-way tie at 9-7 with the Vikings, Seahawks and Falcons, the out come of the Rams @ 49ers game matters to the Falcons and Vikings. Rams win, Vikings are in. 49ers win, Falcons are in. The Vikings would be wise to just win tonight and avoid the possibility of slipping into a 3 way tie!

And I thought the NFC was pretty well settled! Packers beat Vikings in MN but the way they played today, game next week won't be easy. They lost to the Bears and Lions at Lambeau this year. If they lose to the Vikes, I'm sure it would be the first sweep by division opponents in a long time.
