I am still amazed at how when a ball thrown close to parallel to the line of scrimmage, and it is incomplete, why the offensive guy doesnt pick up the ball just to make sure. You see that very often. In this case, all Hilmon had to do is pick up the football, and Denver would still be up, 7-0.

I agree youbdo see it a lot from offensive playera. My theory is defensive players are taught to play through the whistle a bit while offensive players play to the whistle. When the ref blows the whsitle it sends mixed messages to the offensive player.
All I have to say is Mike Cary is an idiot. He is there for analysis and always gets it wrong.
