The Rams did pay a lot for the number one pick, but then when does a franchise not pay a lot for the number one pick?

I think Carson Wentz will be a great pro, and three years down the road when the Rams are in their new stadium, we will all think it was a good trade for both teams.

I also think Wentz will start this year. As a Los Angeles Ram fan I am excited we have our quarterback of the future!!

Perhaps we can now trade Foles for a 4th or 5th rounder??

Hope it works out for the Rams, Titans got what is being called "a heck of a deal" and Rams all in for one player.

Titans went for their QB last year, now they can build through the draft with those picks this year.

The consensus was that the Rams needed a QB after evaluating the past two seasons. They have the running game and defense as their strengths. They now need to improve the passing game to take advantage of their offensive weapons. I love the move, as a Rams fan it certainly sparked a lot of excitement. The Rams have rocked the NFL as they've been the top trender on twitter for the last few hours.

When a team trades up from 5 or 6 as opposed to 15.

I think given the state of the Rams team and organization right now, this was an okay trade worth the risk.

Holy Cow! Now THAT's a king's ransom! I don't know if it's worth the risk or not. This year's draft class wasn't very strong in terms of QBs, and admittedly, I don't know much about the guys who are projected to go in the first round, but this is definitely one of those deals that will either save the Rams or further bury them.

I don't feel so bad about that trade in 2012 anymore.

I think the Rams were in a desperate and urgent situation which called for this pick. Jeff Fisher is surely on the hot seat. The Rams need to start their tenure in LA with a bang and some buzz. So I understand the price they paid to get either Wentz or Goff. The Rams have a lot of pieces in place to win, though they took a hit on defense in the offseason IMO.

Hey, I was just thinking... as a Ram fan, after the first overall pick, there is no longer a reason to watch day one of the NFL draft!!! LOL

Funny, yep, you can make other plans! I like watching the draft, won't be able to watch this year, I'm bummed.

I hope you feel the same about Goff. Reports are that is who they have their eyes on.
