Ryan Lindley did a good job in the first half with SF. It was the defense that struggled the most. Lindley had his picks, which would have changed the game around, but the D also could have changed the game if they would have played up to their potential. Having Foote back this week, being in a pressure packed game, and seeing Ryan's improvement gives hope that he will continue to improve. If the defense that we have seen in the first 3/4's of the season shows up, we got us a ball game! If the Cards win, and the Lions win, then the Cards will face the Pack and the lions will face Seattle. If the Cowboys win, then they will face the Pack and the Cards will face Seattle. If Carolina wins...Oh well!
Personally, I'd like Dallas to win and have to go to the Pack's ice house, and then the Cards would have to face Seattle, where I hope that revenge is on their minds along with the memory of last year's defeat of them in their own house. Then if Dallas can take down the Pack, it would be a replay of the Cards/Dallas game earlier this year. No matter what happens, if the Cards reach the Super Bowl, it will be because of 3 wins in enemy territory. I wish them the best! A tougher scenario would be hard to imagine, yet the 08/09 team did just that!
2 of the 3 games the Cardinals won in 09 were at home. Philadelphia as a six see won in new year.
My bad! Sorry, I had to go back and have a look. They beat Atlanta at home, Carolina away, and Philly at home. They were similar, in that they had a good first part of the season at 7-3, and then lost 4 of their last 6. During the playoffs, Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald caught fire and their previously poor defense did the same. Hopefully, the play of the Cards QB this year, (whether Drew or Ryan), will follow suit, and the defense will also go back to their selfish ways. They've got a steep road before them, but stranger things have happened! It ain't over 'till it's over!

I can't see Lindley having a better game than Cam on the road. I also can't see an anemic running game getting on track against the Panthers - but hope springs eternal for Cards fans. If Cam gets hurt we know how Derek Anderson plays...

Operative words? "Can't see".
More power to Cam Newton & the Panthers if they can take down the Arizona Cardinals. However, if they don't, the Panthers will have failed to take advantage of a 3rd string QB and an "anemic running game".
Go, Birdgang!
