I'm not totally surprised. Fans get on the fire coaches bandwagon, happens all the time in GB. They preach, players not plays, you have to have the right mix of players to execute the schemes. I'm wondering if that is the case here.
yep, that was the report. Payton said they have to give Ryan better players... or something like that.
Rob Ryan; Defensive Coordinator, New Orleans Saints
Ryan has had good players. He has a bad defensive system.
If the Saints' defense fails quickly in the 2015 season resulting in losses, Ryan should be out of the Saints organization for good. Sean Payton and several others can follow him out.

No doubt Ryan is on thin ice but I don't see Payton leaving New Orleans unless its on his own accord. The Saints had a down year in 2014 but under Payton, they have consistently been a good team.. this from a franchise that had few winning seasons for 40 years... before Payton, the Saints had 5 playoff seasons and only 1 playoff win in 40 years.. since Payton arrived (9 seasons), the Saints have 5 playoff seasons, 6 playoff wins including a Super Bowl Championship so I don't see Payton going anywhere soon.
I think Payton stays, in the big picture, who is out there? When a new coach comes in, it takes time to settle in, might go backwards before they go forward. Payton has had success, I wouldn't be so quick to throw him to the curb.
Maybe they know the Saints were going to be bad this year. The Saints may have been one of the only teams to lose two games at home when they were the favorite by MORE than a touchdown. #@%?!!&# Saints cost me...
Losing to Tampa and Tennessee...Rob Ryan, have a realtor on speed dial.

I think Sean Payton is finished in NO. With the ownership in question and ongoing salary cap issues, this may be a good time for Payton to explore other opportunities.
Brandon Browner was awful today and had a locker room blowup after the game. There was a reason why the Patriots had no problem letting him leave town.
