Doubtless, I'm dating myself (but not in a naughty way).
DE - Reggie White
DE - Deacon Jones
DT - Bob Lilly
DT - Merlin Olsen
OLB - Lawrence Taylor
MLB - Dick Butkus
OLB - Ted Hendricks
CB - Deion Sanders
CB - Herb Adderly
SS - Ronnie Lott
FS - Sean Taylor
I can go with all those names but would like to throw one more linebacker out there...
Derrick Thomas.
Played 11 seasons before a car accident took him out of the game. In those 11 season, he was a 9 time Pro-Bowler.
126.5 sacks in 11 seasons. LT had 132.5 in 13 season.
Now I'm not saying that LT wasn't one hell of a linebacker, nor would I take away from a lot of others (Ray Lewis, Singletary and many many more), but DT is a must when you talk about Linebackers.
Think of it as an "All Time" "All Madden" dream defense. It could 3-4, 4-3 or 4-7 defense but choose only eleven.
DE - Reggie White
DT - Howie Long
DT - Lyle Alzado
DE - Bruce Smith
OLB - Lawrence Taylor
ILB - Dick Butkis
ILB - Ray Lewis
OLB - Mike Singletary
CB - Lester Hayes
S - Ronnie Lott
CB - Mike Haynes - best one-on-one cover man ever.
Note: All time NFL team - Terry Bradshaw led Pittsburgh Steelers.
I don't see Kevin Greene,Carnell Lake or Rod Woodson(who is the best cover guy of all time; not Haynes).
