Favre called it quits (again) Tuesday. He told his broadcasting arm, ESPN, that saying goodbye to the Minnesota Vikings “was the hardest decision I’ve ever made.”
Brad Childress must be crying his eyes out. Childress alienated his top 2 QBs only not to get Favre. If the Vikings dont get a Super Bowl berth this year he is dead meat. Favre was probably his last chance to save his behind.
As a Minnesotan and Viking fan-----------this was good news to me.
It was sickening how this saga played out and how the Vikings got down on their knees and begged him while Favre dragged it out for al long as he could.
Equally sickening was the Viking players contacting Favre and begging him to come.
A slao in the face to the quarterback who will be taking the snap once the season starts.
I would love to see what the rest of the players would have to say if the QB's said they sucked. Thats basiclly what Jared Allen and Adrian Peterson did by slobbing Bretts knob to get him to come back. That was basiclly "please come play for us because the guys we have cant get it done!" I wonder if AD would like to be called out by his QB for his fumble issues??? hmmmm shallow bastids. I hope MINN goes under .500
I wont be surprised if he still comes back. He knows he can't play a full season, so I could see the Vikes if Jackson or Sage is struggling week 6 bring him in for the remained of the season. I bet he would want to play just the 2 games vs Green Bay if he could.

Favre did not drag it out. He got surgery and then started working out to see if he felt his body could take another year. When he realized it couldn't, he chose to pass on the offer to play since he felt like he would not be able to play healthy all year. He stayed in Hattiesburg and other than the swarms of attention wh*re media members constantly giving the situation attention and then blaming the attention on Favre, he kept quiet and just tried to get healthy.

Adrian Peterson trying to get Favre to come play is not a slap in the face to anybody. It is a blatant sign that the Vikings have 2 losers fighting for the starting qb spot. The Vikings season will end in the first round of the playoffs if they make it because they do not have a qb worth a nickel.
As a Vike fan, I still don't think its the last of Farve. I'm sure his should will be much better in 2 months. If Rosenfels gets hurt I wouldn't be surprised if they called him again. But if he (and AP, Williams(s) etc) stays healthy I think he is competent enough to lead the Vikes deep into the playoffs. Tjak is garbage.
He just doesnt want to go to training camp. Week 2 or 3 he will be chomping at the bit to get back in the game. THis dude is a pompus a$$.
