Should someone like Troy Aikman be presented as a non partisan broadcaster when covering the team he used to play for?

Yes or no

Troy Aikman and his sidekick Joe Buck SUCK!!! I can't stand them especially when they do ANY NFC East game. It's obvious they are Cowboy fans and I get tired of hearing it. I just mute them and watch the game.

Actually, I find Aikman to be much less of a fanboi than Buck. Buck sucks. Only Dierdorf and maybe Collinsworth suck more.

The real problem that I have with Aikman is when he is broadcasting a Cowboys game. He comes accross as a total homer.

I think all the main casters hype the big market teams like Dallas cause they make ratings.

I find NBC's Sunday Night Duo of Al and Chris to be good though.

Wierd, I don't HATE Joe Buck. TO me he's just....there. Still he's no Pat Summerall that's for sure.

Can't stand Dierdork and Aikman. I'd actually nominate Collinsworth as the most improved though. He used to irritate the hell out of me, but now he seems much better.

I would absolutely agree with that statement. I just told my buddy the other night how much I thought that Collinsworth had improved a lot as a broadcaster. He doesn't incur as much wrath at my house as he used to.

None of them are as bad as Madden was in his last few years. He became a bubbling idiot who did more knob slobbing of Favre, Brady, and Manning than anyone should ever be allowed in the booth. It was ridiculous.

I wish you would have home announcers in your home market like baseball. It is obvious why the NFL does not do that, but I personally would prefer it that way. I find local NFL radio broadcasts highly enjoyable.
