Summer Infant Color Video Complete Coverage Video Monitor Set

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

If I only had this wonderful video monitor set with all of my previous children, my life would have been so much easier. Although this video monitor set by Summer Infant is quite expensive, coming with a price tag of $299.99, it is well worth it.

The unit comes with a 1.8" color screen hand held device as well as a 7" LCD flat screen that I absolutely love. I generally keep the flat screen next to the bed unless I know I'm going to be in one room for awhile, then I will set it up in there. The picture is incredibly clear and the hand held device has a tilt feature as well as a swivel design so you can see your baby from a few different angles. It comes with a 10 hour rechargeable battery and a belt clip. I don't necessarily always wear something that this will clip on, so I usually wear a wristband around my arm and clip it on that and it works great because it is really light.

When I read the reviews, a lot of them had problems with interference, this is not an issue that I have seen and we have WiFi in our house too. The baby's room is on the third floor and this monitor works crystal clear if I am in the basement or outside in the backyard. It is extremely easy to use.

I do have one issue with this video monitor and it is the only reason why I gave this four stars instead of five, the screen turns off constantly. It has a power-save mode that unfortunately you cannot override so you have to continuously push the button on top which gets really annoying. If Summer Infant can fix this feature, this will be the perfect product.

I also have a Summer Infant video monitor, not the same one with the second large screen, but I love it. Good range and lots of little bells and whistles. Good quality product from a good company.
