The Diamondback Fitness 1260Ef Elliptical Trainer is a high end fitness machine priced at $2,199. The adjustable magnetic braking system provides resistance across 20 different levels. With a maximum weight capacity of 325 pounds the machine is sturdy enough to hold the majority of adults.
There is a large console that provides the user with lots of information such as time of use, the intensity of the workout, degree of incline, number of calories used, heart rate, and distance. The machine includes two ways to monitor heart rate in order to determine the effectiveness of the exercise. One option is to use the chest strap while the other option is the handgrips that have sensors to monitor pulse.
The frame is strong and sturdy, made of steel that has been welded tight and applied with a powder coat that resists rust. The ball bearings have a seal around them to keep them from collecting dust and the polymer bearings are lubricated permanently to provide years of use.
Different programs are available to provide variety to the users over time. Five of the programs can be used with the Quick Start feature and they cover hill climbing, sprinting, intervals, random cross or manual. Five more programs are heart rate specific to allow the user to set a program designed to reach a particular rate.
