First, why do you want to be anything that what you are? Second, being a "complex" person is not all its cracked up to be. You can be a deep thinker, mindful, and an interesting person without being "complex". Just be you.
I don't think the OP knows what "complex" means. He/she seems to be describing people who are hypocritical, who state one thing but do the opposite. Probably somebody the OP knows pointed at one of these people and said "she's just complex, isn't she?" and the OP mistakenly thought "complex" means "hypocritical."
Being "complex" can be a positive or a negative thing, depending on how the person displays their complexity. Conversely, a person who is the opposite might be described as "simple," transparent", or "predictable" and that might be positive or negative.
In general a "complex" person is described as "hard to figure out." I might like that description applied to me, if the person means I'm enticingly mysterious, or I have lots of deeper layers of thoughts and interests. But I might take it negatively if it means I'm a pain-in-the a$$ drama queen who could over-react to something at the drop of a hat. I know lots of unpredictable drama queens who might be euphemistically described as "complex."
OP, I wouldn't worry so much about trying to be "complex." If you try to do it on purpose, it kind of defeats the purpose.
