Absolutely not! That is what HIPAA laws are all about. You have a right to privacy.

Call the suicide hotline, tell them you are an employer, and ask if they can give you information about people you know.

Or go to a local hospital and ask if you can see the medical records of your neighbors.

(Actually go to your doctors office and ask to see YOUR medical records - see how difficult it is to just get those!)
