I probably should have asked them what they meant by this, but someone told me I have a gentle spirit/soul. What does that imply or mean exactly?

Most of these types I've met over the years tend to be on the passive-aggressive side, and I get as nervous being around these types as I would if I were around Hitler or Stalin!

Eastern philosophy explains it all too well, with its mind-twisting idea of polar opposites!

Example: Harder the shell, softer the center, softer the shell, harder the center!

This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I have taught with many gentle spirits and their students lives have been enriched made all the better for it.

Please use your common sense. A true gentle spirit is a kind and warm person, and not hiding a cold center. Sure, some people pretend to be kind. Some people pretend to be hard. I have also known some people with hard outer shells and they hid an equally hard center. People are more complex than some ancient eastern proverb.

Don't water down the true atrocities committed by evil people like Stalin and Hitler.
