You might simply be depressed?

I would try to eat healthy, pick up some hobbies that are fun like horse riding/bicycling/hiking/running/boxing ... and some hobbies that are relaxing like reading books and meditating to find our inner peace.

Slowly expand your circle of friends and socialize more, maybe go to some meetup.com events.

If you don't see any change within half a year, I would see a doctor.

Professional therapy and see someone about Depression

If you would prefer not to take prescription medication or cannot seek professional help immediately, try St John's Wort. It just might get you past this but should help somewhat in between now and professional help.

Thank you for your response Oh-eve

However, I know for fact it's not depression related
I had a really bad depression once due to unforseen circumstances, so I know how to differenciate actual depression from simple anxiety.

Love is the only thing that makes me switch off but I'm generally a positive person.

Maybe just a good mix of vitamins and herbs that can help.

I agree with CSD610 tp go easy on prescription drugs. You don't want to be happy but an addict.

This sounds like much more than "simple anxiety."

Were you abused? Did someone rape you? Your reaction is extreme and makes me think you have suffered some sort of trauma.

Yes, please seek professional help and don't worry about dating anyone right now. But, also keep in mind that rejection is a part of life op, it happens to lots of people and the world don't stop turning because of it . I myself, been rejected in various facet of life but you get over it and move forward with you life. Seek professional guidance and best of luck to you.
