I could do it because I am very good at math. If you Bing it you will find it is part of a test for Dementia.

I know that......and it scares me!

Something I couldn't do at 20 or 30, all of a sudden indicates I am senile at 70 or 80....that is just not right.

I just did. It took 2-3 seconds of thinking time a set, but it wasn't that hard for me. If I wasn't math smart, it would be hard though. To anyone trying to do it; you know you did it right if you get to 30, and end at 2.

Maybe, but my brain rejects and blocks number issues. When I have to I can make my brain work on numbers but it's really unnatural for me. On the other hand, my brain might develop a quick and easy system for that which enables me to fly through it. If I go see a shrink and they ask me, I'll give it a shot.

I'm not trying to be flippant. This is an honest answer.

An obese health professional! Hah! Grrrr!

I put so much effort & energy into my physical health that I am irate when being sent to obese "health professionals." I end up giving them lectures on proper nutrition, which pisses them off. Hah. I can't help it. It's because I crave cookies & donuts & cake & ice cream just as much as they apparently do but I DON'T GIVE IN, and it requires all my strength to keep this up day after day. They appparently give in to whatever foods they want, and I have no respect for their weakness when I work so hard to maintain an ideal weight. THEY'RE the ones who need a doctor!

I am mentally crazy because of this unhealthy world we live in, run by unhealthy people, demanding that we all sacrifice our health for the almighty dollar because that's the way unhealthy, selfish people have organized the world to be.

She had me name the last four US Presidents in descending sequential order too. I did that easily. I could go all the way back to George Washington,,yes I could
The counting down by 7's from 100 was a mistake. She intended to ask you to count down from 300 by 7's, but said 100 by mistake. It's because she's planning to lose weight. 7 pounds per week. She wants you to tell her how much she's going to weigh at the end of each week.

Maybe you need to stop blaming your mental condition on other people and focus on getting better. You sound resistant to the process and you are choosing to stay in you current condition. That's your choice but don't blame other people. It's your life.

I could have done it much quicker verbally. My typing skills suck. I'll let some math whiz grade my answers. Lol

So through all my giggling and counting down by sevens, the doctor said I lost track when I got to the 70's.

I could have done better in other circumstances, but this was just so amusing to me for some reason, and I couldn't stop laughing and my brain refused to focus in a serious manner.

How well might you perform this simple-ish task if asked on the spot in a sterile, intimidating doctor's office, with no preparation?
Don't get the point of this
It's difficult for anybody, what it goes down to is .... are you good at math or not?

I happen to be good at math, so I subtract 7 until I get stuck
at that point, for example, at 93, I don't subtract 7, instead I almost instantly know that the answer is 90-4
(since 7 =3+4 and I already took 3 off of 93)
I did the same thing at 72 (70-5=65), 51 (50-6=44), 44 (40-3=37), 23 (20-4=16)

Yes, I can. Does it help me to go through daily life? I doubt it.
