Notice that not one SOB died in 911....They were all saints
Hm, well, there was that cop whose widow found out that her dead husband had another woman and child on the side...but she was generous and shared the insurance money once she found out.
Actually, I suspect a good many are just architecting their own image, as they'd like it projected to the world.
Which is within their rights. Some people will find it interesting sometimes. Others may not. Nobody really cares that much either way unless they have deep-seated psychological issues with other people's "exploits."
I like seeing what other people have done, seen, etc.
It's a bit like electronic people watching. People can be rather fascinating.
Of course, I am not sitting there assigning them all motives or whatever. It's a lark, really.
Sometimes I thank Facebook. On one end of the electronic people watching hobby you've got the fakers. The people who stage everything in the best light possible to the point of making up a fantasyland of perfection for everyone to see. On the other end you have those that are so completely honest it's like everything that normally should be filtered around people, doesn't.
I have a friend who used to post pictures of nothing but her dogs. That's it. Dogs, dog shows, missing dogs, asking money for charities to help dogs, selling dogs, photos of her and the dogs, photos of her dogs with other dogs, her dogs posing in clothes she made for the dogs....and that's great for her life. But after awhile the rest of us gradually faded away and blocked her posts because, though they were brutally true to life, the key word is "brutal" to the rest of us. Facebook can sometimes be your friend when you realize your friends are way messed up for you to handle.
I hate being like this. Everyone's perfect professional family photos, vacations, beautiful homes, christmas etc....I never had kids (never wanted them but now at 40 I regret it and now it's not possible most likely) I'm married but rent a town home that is ok but has some damages from the dogs. We don't live paycheck to paycheck back can't afford vacations. Should I be ashamed of my life? Is it bad I've never owned a home?
Weve never had a family photo taken, we dont go on vacation (except 2 yrs ago when my dad paid for it), We have a fixer upper that was my great grandparents, we dont celebrate christmas. I live paycheck to paycheck......im 29.
Not everyone has perfect lives, but you have to find what makes you happy!
If there's one lesson I'm glad I've learned it's that all families are imperfect. There are skeletons in a closet in every family, I don't care how perfect they look on the outside. It's the people that pretend their families are perfect that get on my nerves.
a lot family actually fake to be perfect...so don't fall for that. Live for yourself and those who you care about, the rest can just be the rest.
