I see what you're saying about adulthood. It can be a long boring grind. But growing up can also be very hard. I like my life much more now because its my life and I have full control over it and what I do. Although I'm unmarried with no kids. But growing up I was dependent on my parents and there were so many social pressures and bullies in school and I wasn't full independent. As a child you are very vulnerable to predators and abusers and just exposed to the world. Now my life is totally mine and I answer to no one!

I can see life being far worse if I was stuck in an unhappy marriage with kids depending on me and a low paying job.
