I learned that the old beekeeper who sold his honey will probably not be back at the local farmer’s market.

I learned that the local pickled olives are really good, and I bought some.

I learned that an egg salad sandwich on sourdough is really good for lunch.

I learned that I could make the marble on my fireplace really shine by using tbe right kind of cleaner,

I learned that I needed to start a Goodwill donation pile for some old clothes.

I also learned by really looking, that the actual color of what I think of as my red rhododendron is really a bright rose color.

I guess that sort of sums up my day.

Today I learned that Mahatma Gandhi always rode the cheapest class of railroad cars when he traveled in India. He wanted to mingle with the poor people. To this day, those cars are called "Gandhi class."

1.How to make a conference call on my cell phone
2.how to make potatoes au gratin, which was good until I learned
3.the potatoes in the fridge had gone soft and sprouted
4.A tree near downtown and many large branches near it were down, maybe there was a mini twister
5.My tires feel a little slippery and I hydroplaned, which was when I learned I'd need new ones
6.Trader Joe's two buck chuck is now 3 bucks. Make sense. I just read an article that cheap wine was about to go up in price due to poor growing season.
7.The expensive dog food which was supposed to stop my dog from being so gassy doesn't work
8.I have jury duty next month, which sucks because it's right before a planned vacation, causing me to learn that
9.I have to cancel the cabin space 11 days before I check in. I won't be able to do that and still hold on to it in case I don't get picked for duty
10.

What exactly do you mean by "did you learn something today"?

WOW! You are a truly incredible person if you learned more than 100 things in ONE day!
Seriously... WOW!

I learned that I had forgotten most of what I had learned.

I also learned that I can always do what I need to do by doing something else.

I learned that next week I can set Food Shelf Donations on the steps on Saturday and my mailman will take them with him. Poor mailman. They told me at the grocery store when I brought them in.

I learned the real reason the DH wants to move the split wood shelter from E-W to N-S. The reason I learned it was because Son dropped in for coffee and spilled the beans. Yes, I will remember it because it would involve having a couple of trailers parked in the back yard which I do not want.

Next thing to learn - how to approach this subject with DH in a way most apt to appeal to reason.

That some people on CD are bull headed and think their opinions are right no matter what the facts are!

I learned I had a stain on my shirt after I had been out shopping in public for hours and then passed by a mirror where the stain caught my eye because it was so obvious. I then learned that I am overly concerned about what strangers that may have passed by me in my travels in the store thought about my slob-like appearance because I had a stain on my shirt.
