So far have listened at home to two type of podcasts, one is the history one of the youtube channel Fall of Civilizations. https://fallofcivilizationspodcast.com
Some years ago I realized that having the radio on and a steady diet of daily news was making me an angry person. That's when I discovered podcasts. Now I can choose what I feed my brain.
When I'm home I listen nearly all day - true crime, psychology, social and medical issues, history, mysterious occurrences, humor. When I need to concentrate on something else I have a music subscription I've actually taken time to organize so I can put the right kind of music to suit me as background.
I would like to have some books read to me but I don't do well with them. My mind wanders and I lose track. For reading
I still prefer to have an old-fashioned book in front of me and that precludes double-tasking.
My podcast peeps, their verbal quirks and preferences, are becoming familiar friends.
