Pool questions! (how much, house, summer)

So I closed on the house on March 5th and have been here for the last 5 weeks but its time to go home and I have a few questions.

I have a pool service (Fulton) that will be looking after the pool every week cleaning, adding water etc.....

How much of an issue is evaporation?

Do you have an auto filler (I have seen a type that attaches to the hose and then hangs over the pool deck)?

Are there things I should be doing for or to the pool before I leafe for an extended period?

I would set your valve to suck off the bottom and the skimmer for optimum circulation. In the summer you will not have to worry about evaporation, as the winds are usually light, the air moist, and regular rains. Your pool guy should not have to add water at all during the rainy season (unless there is a leak somewhere). Depending on the size of pool and the size of pump, running times vary. I run mine about 5 hrs/day in the summer, usually with the pump on low speed unless ineed to use the vacuum.

If you have a pool service with Fulton Pools, they will fill it up as needed when they come. The rainy season will be upon us soon and you do not need to fill the pool during the rainy season. The rain pretty much takes care of it. It usually only needs to be filled during the winter dry months. When a pool is not being used, you will not need to run the filter as long. Again, Fulton will set the timer and take care of that for you. There really isn't anything you need to do to prepare for the pool before you leave.
