I'm in the midst of pricing homeowners and flood insurance. Anyone have any recommendations?

Call Loretta at Brightway Ins.

She got us the best rates on home and car ins. Of course for flood/wind a lot depends on the actual house, when it was built, construction, etc...

Be sure whoever you use shops around for flood insurance since FEMA is no longer the only game in town.

Yep, and I know that Loretta did that as she showed us the actual quotes that came back from various companies.

I'm curious to know if anyone has gotten flood insurance from anyone other than FEMA.

Are you sure it is not different company's ultimately backed by FEMA? I have never had "FEMA" as my flood carrier always a private company but told it was backed by FEMA.
