Radio is not what it used to be, but then what is. In the 70s and 80s I could not get enough radio. I even went into radio for a while when I was sold enough. But at some point in the 90s I stopped listening for the most part. You do not need it now. There is internet radio which plays stuff regular radio never would.

I concur, the consolidation of the industry resulting in a handful of giant national companies owning almost all of the stations killed the joy of listening to the AM/FM bands for me. Shortened playlists combined with lengthened commercial breaks destroyed the listening experience.
