Radio here in San Antonio is horrible. I only listened in the morning when Dj Kidd Chris was here. but now, maybe I listen during the evenings. I plan on getting Sirius soon.

Local NPR [Morning Edition] in the morning commute, catch the news.
Evening ride back home, other journeys, listen to XM, local stations, and CD's.
Can NOT stand DJ's that yack *** yack, or insane commercials.
Give me music, some pertinent interesting local happenings, and I be good.

I like to listen to a local radio show in the morning on the way to work. Just a couple of personalities talking about topics du jour. It's a fun start to the morning. I'm only in the truck for about 20 minutes, so I catch them without having to listen to a commercial break.

At work, I play iTunes through my laptop. Since I have approx 1200 songs, there's usually a good mix during the day. Besides, it's backgorund noise anyway. I don't actively listen to each song when I work.

At night, I play my iPod in it's speaker/charger set up that I have on my home PC or I wear my iPod on an armband when exercising.

So for me, I can easily live without Sirius and other subscription radio services.
