I've noticed that a DJ on a "local" radio station, WRFX The Fox 99.7 often repeats his comments.
For example, I heard him say the following comments two days in a row:
"Coming up, a song from a guy whose next album is titled I Used to be a Plastic Bottle" (Joe Walsh)
"A movie is being made of Keith Richard's autobiography and he wants his buddy Johnny Depp to play him. I can see that."
I don't know much about the DJ business do they pre-record comments and just arrange them to play before the appropriate artist's songs? Or are they still sitting there in the booth and just happen to repeat the same crap a couple days in a row?

I listen to 95.7 (the ride often and they repeat too, not daily though) (I've heard Billy Joel is an ex-boxer at least 3 times now).
I think there are taped comments attached to either the artist or a specific song

That's what I figured. I guess the days of a Dr. Johnny Fever type sitting in the booth are pretty much over. They could at least try to hide it a bit by coming up with a greater variety of stuff to say.
I listen to The Ride in the morning, though the "DJ" on there gets on my nerves too. One day he says "could you imagine Fleetwood Mac without Lindsay Buckingham & Stevie Nicks?"
As a matter of fact, yes I can. While their most successful lineup was with B&N they had plenty of records and even some hits without them. I mean, Peter Green is not chopped liver for Christ's sake.

To say nothing of the Bob Welch years ("Sentimental Lady," "Emerald Eyes," "Hypnotized").
Yep, our "new" 106.5 oldies station (Dayton, OH) features Tom Kent, whom I've heard in other markets. When he plays his "All request" show, he only mentions THREE of the local suburban towns...EVER.

I liked Christine McVie's voice a lot more than Stevie Nick's. The latter got all the guy's fantasies going, though.

Definitely voice-tracked
Our alleged news radio station will often air days or weeks-old weather reports and newscasts on overnights and weekends.
And I have often heard voice tracks played out of order on music stations. If you're going to record everything, you should at least take the time to proofread the order of your audio files.

The man was obviously history-challenged or musically illiterate. To some of us there was only one Fleetwood Mac that mattered---and it was the blues group assembled by Peter Green, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood, and Jeremy Spencer in 1967.
Dj's are irrelevant now. They are controlled by Clear Channel and other corporations. They have no personality or soul. It is all one big shill.
