Last nite we lost our best friend Bonzo a 14 year old sheppard mix. He had diabetes but unfortunetly he succomed to ketoacidosis. The treatment would have been too much for him and his kidneys were not doing good either so it was time for him to move on. He his now with his best friend Zero who we lost last year. may you have many fun times together. we miss you Bonzo.
14 is a good LONG life for a big dog ..... and is a testament to the love and care he got from you..... a loved and happy life and a peaceful and dignified end .... would that we all have such things......
I'm so sorry for the loss of Bonzo. It's good you didn't put him through treatment if his body couldn't handle it...you ended his pain and suffering, and his spirit is grateful for that. My heart goes out to you!
Sorry you lost Bonzo. Better to let him go gently. Remember all the good times.
