A Southern Season is definitely the place to go to.

If you had more time, I'd suggest the online store for Our State Magazine. They have lots of NC stuff.

Another option is Seagrove Pottery in Cameron Village. Lots of pottery made in NC, items big and small. Cameron Village isn't far from the history museum, which also has some nice things.

I love Seagrove, but I have sent them Seagrove pottery from there for the last three Christmases.

I was thinking they might think that's all I can come up with or that's all we have!

I just realized I'm leaving from Terminal 2 and the store is in Terminal 1. I guess I'll just head on over to a Southern Season. I can think of worse ways to spend a Saturday afternoon!
Darn...

If you want cheap crap, by all means go buy cheap crap at TJ Maxx.
Spoken like someone who has never even seen the gourmet food & kitchen items at TJ Maxx/Homegoods. Obviously not, because if you had, you would know that one can find several of the same things, same brands, just a lot less expensive at Homegoods. Two examples: measuring spoons at Southern Season: $11. Same measuring spoons @ Homegoods: $2.99. Premium brand scone mix at Southern Season: $12.99. At Homegoods: $5.99.

Same "cheap crap" just marked up a whole lot more @ SS.

Is that NC-themed gift shop still open in the Crabtree Valley Mall? I think it's near the food court.

That's what I was going to suggest!

Also, the Farmer's Market has some sauces, jams, etc.

My life is now complete...I found German Curry ketchup there (and other gift stuff as well)! What a fun afternoon. I could pretty much spend all day in that store!

A Southern Season does a really nice job with gift wrapping and you don't have to pay anything extra which is nice. Granted, you are paying for it indirectly with their higher prices.
