I'm in the process of restoring an old wood stove.
It seems that one of the things I am going to need is something called Furnace putty. Also known as Stove putty or boiler putty?
Anyone know where in Raleigh I can find such an animal?
Or have you restored a woodstove ever and found an alternate or newer and better substance?
This stuff is used to seal the cracks where all the pieces assemble together.
The old stuff that came out kinda looked similar to brick mortar is best I can describe it.
The Home depot guy was clueless, but I kinda expected that.
