Sometimes it rains a lot in January here.

So you want to be an absentee landlord for 2 years before you buy?

What are "reo" properties?

What price home?

Where will you be working? "Proximity" (you don't define "to what") would surely include a decent commute?

Are you set on Raleigh proper, or the many other communities around the area such as Cary, Apex, Knightdale, Wale Forest, Clayton, Durham, etc?

There are many, many threads on these issues in the forum you can search on, though more detail from your end would be helpful for specifics.

Love the rain, we don't get rain here in CA...At all!!!

Yes, absentee landlord for the first 2 yrs...I will be renting it out to my sister in law who is a teacher...she gave me her opinios and i want to hear someone elses..

Price would be no more then 150k.

REO-Real estate owned...property that went back to the lender after unsuccesfull foreclosure sale.

My plan is to pay of 50% off the loan while i live and work in CA with my income in CA. If I were to move the same year I bought the house I wouldn't be able to pay of 50% in the first 2 yrs.

Thanks

Sorry I didn't define any of that. I will be stay at home Mom and my husband will either get a job in a plumbing company or start or buy a plumbing company.

I need an area where there are a lot of people. OR the area close to the bigger areas. Coomute doesn't really matter since it will be a part of the job. We just need an area with a lot of people or area close to a lot of neighborhoods etc...

thanks
