I think it's different for me. I don't have TV or phone thru them.
In fact, I think they just tweaked the pricing structure a bit and got rid of the Powerboost or whatever it was called.
Now, for someone with just standalone internet thru TWC, it costs...
Standard 10down/1up - $57.95
Turbo 20down/2up - add $9.95
Extreme 30down/5up - add $20
Wideband 50down/5up - $99.95
Basic 3down/1up - $40.95
Lite 1down/1up - $30.95
So, I'm guessing I fall under their Turbo plan...which comes to near $70/mo for 20down/2up.
Looks like they're also trying to discourage people from going to Earthlink because their 7down/1up service is the same price as TWC's 10down/1up. BUT, that's if you sign up for Earthlink
through TWC. If you deal with Earthlink directly, they still offer their 15down/1up service for $40mo/6 months and only $50/mo after. Yet it's nearly $70/mo if you go thru TWC and you're only getting 10down/1up.
I never understood that TWC/Earthlink partnership. And when I call TWC, it sounds like alot of their reps don't understand it either.
Wow...and looking at their pricing guide...I can't believe that it's now $70/mo for just a standard broadcast (channels 2-76 or whatever it is) package. Prices are getting out of control. It'll probably only get worse if TWC ever decides to start charging based on total data consumption. Ugh.
