My husband is going to be in the hospital for a month and I need to find a heated dog bed really fast.
Our dog is going to have to spend some nights in the garage and I hope a
heated dog bed will help.

You may want to contact an animal rescue group and see if they have one you could borrow. I'm sorry I cannot help you.

If you can't find one, you can try using a heating pad on the lowest setting. I would put it under the bed you currently have instead of on top to prevent the dog from getting burned or too hot.

Just my two cents, why not buy a child gate from Walmart ($10 +/-) and put the dog in a specific room or a large closet so he/she can be warm?

These electric fiberglass pads work great in an enclosed dog box or house with bedding on top. Agri Supply in Garner usually stock them...I hope things work out for you.

I suspect she is worried about dog pee and poop and would rather have it in the garage and not the house.

That may be the case, I was just offering my two cents.

Rather than putting the dog in the garage you could put them in the bathroom. Usually most bathrooms have a tiled floor, so if the dog has an accident it wont make too much of a mess. I would not suggest leaving the dog in the garage. It has been pretty cold lately and that could real tough on the dog. As a last resort you could ask a friend/neighbor to look after them for a few days.

Good luck!!

John
