Can anyone provide some places under 250K that in your opinion are the nicest places to live at in Fuquay?

Also anybody have any input into South Lakes in Fuquay?

You can see some of the homes going up at South Lakes atModerator cut: use dm please My husband and I plan on going with Biltmore Homes. Preservation homes will be built during the first phase. I think the target "opening" date is late summer/early fall. We called the phone number listed on the billboard, and the man said he should be sending out brochures and site maps this week.

What kind of house styles? All be craftsman like the way Preservation homes does?

Also wondering what you get for the lower price range (they are quoting lik 180K-500K or something). Are the 220K and lower houses just townhomes or actually single family homes with decent sq footage?

If you like craftsman style take a look at the village of charleston. It depends what you are lokking for in a house. They have up to 3100sf for $235. lIf you know south lakes just take old honeycutt to Judd and take a left then a left on S. Main(401) and it's right there

At South Lakes, I think there are some townhomes, but there will also be single family homes in the 200s (from Preservation AND Biltmore). Moderator cut: please dm
Biltmore's website says they start from the 240s. I know for a fact that they don't build townhomes. So their smaller homes will definitely start at 240K.

Since South Lakes will be a master planned community, it will be the best neighborhood in Fuquay by far. Currently, we live in Willow Creek subdivision just around the corner from South Lakes. We are looking forward to a "nicer" community!

I have clients that are building in Southern Oaks by Royal Oaks Builders. They are so happy with the neighborhood and neighbors that they can't wait to move in. They already go there often and visit with the neighbors and play golf with them.

The prices are in the low 200's. They offer a free membership to ClubWorx that is amazing. The offer fitness and have an indoor and outdoor pool plus more. They were offering 2,000 in closing costs. Unfortunately the builder wouldn't move much and I was only able to get my clients the sunroom addition on the presale. That was the toughest builder on negotiations. Another agent in my office wasn't able to get that much on an inventory home that had been sitting. That was early in the Spring and now I've noticed that they have another Realtor luncheon so things are slow there. Maybe they've changed their attitude and the builder might be willing to give more now.

The neighborhood is convenient to Downtown Fuquay, ball fields and the new community center.

We really liked Elliott Landing, made an offer but the builder wouldn't budge. The house was a little more expensive than we wanted to spend so we backed out. I'm still slightly dissapointed that the builder did not want to meet halfway! If your willing to pay full price and 100% of the closing costs take a look at it! We loved everything about the neighborhood and house but everything happens for a reason. It's back to the drawing board for us!!!
