Thank you, everyone, for the responses. Since it does, for now, have the ability to make it from Point A to Point B (albeit with much grumbling), I'll take it over to CarMax and see what kind of offer they're willing to make.

Some years ago, I sold an old Dodge Omni for $100 to a garage owner who bought it for parts.

I sold a beat up Mazda truck to a friend for $150. It was nearly dead, but he had mechanics & body techs in the family who could help him fix it up. Carmax had offered me $100 & I would have gladly taken that too.

I sold a Chevy Silverado for $600 to a junkyard after the engine blew up. It had mostly good body/fender parts all over, good seats, etc. If your car has some good parts like that you may get a similar offer.

A junkyard would probably make you the best offer if the car barely drives.
