I've had my hot tub under a deck for years, but now that we've made changes to our backyard for the pool, it sits outside and my old blow-up cover isn't working any more.

What do I need to know about hot tub covers of the "standard" kind (foam that fold in half) and what should I look for when buying? Where did you buy yours from locally (preferably close to North Raleigh or Wake Forest) or online?

Thanks.

Ok, I'll call them and also "Rec Warehouse" - any others I should check out?

And any tips on buying a good quality cover, or do they only offer a single choice?

Not a fan of Rec Warehouse - I looked at Hot Tubs there and found them to be very aggressive. We walked out. They reminded me of the same type store in NY Island Rec - same type sales tactics. There is a place across from Wakefield Ford not sure what they sell but there are Hot Tubs outside.

Wow, I really like to support local businesses, but they're charging almost double for the same thing you can buy online. I realize it will be higher, and am usually willing to pay somewhat of a premium if I feel I'm getting a value add or supporting local businesses, but double? I think online might be the way to go. Thanks for all the responses! Atlantic was very nice on the phone, I must say.

Bad experience with Rec Warehouse. They waited 8 weeks into our order to let us know that they were having trouble with their supplier .

The place across from Burlington Mill Outlet on Capital did a great job for us and they were fast (just a week or so )

I will find their number or link for you.

Be careful with the cost of shipping. That has to be a huge add-on for on-line purchased items that are very large, even if they aren't too heavy.
