I had a similiar experience as rociovrojas. When I moved to my new place, they broke my office desk. And when I confronted them, their response was "it was cheaply made of plywood too bad". I was fuming and told them to get out. On their way out, they were lifting my weight set and mocking at how light it was.

NEVER AGAIN.

I have only heard horrible things about them. There are plenty of other reputable choices.

We've used them 3 times, daughter 1 time, son 1 time.

The greatest and most economical movers.

Never any damage.

We used them twice. No real problems either time, although the second crew was noticably slower and the "boss" seemed to think that we wanted to hear his critiques of our new home.

I've never hired them, but I knew a guy in college who worked for them. I got the impression that they have a lot of turnover, and service could be dependent on the individuals actually completing the move. I could be wrong, though!

Terrible. Didn't show up. Didn't call to tell me of any last minute scheduling problems. Didn't call after to apologize. Talked manager a week later, he said, "oh yeah, sorry. oops."

Don't waste your time.

Hi everyone. I know this is an old thread, but didn't want to reinvent the wheel. I'm planning a move to MD, and TMAT is the only company so far that has promised delivery in less than 10 days. I have a lot of good/solid furniture, and not many valuables. Does anyone have recent experience with the Durham TMAT franchise, particularly with out of state moves?

Not the Durham one, but I have used the Raleigh one twice with zero problems.

We used the Durham one three times (apartment moves) and LOVED them. Most recently two years ago. Used the Raleigh location this year as Durham had no availability, HATED them. They told us they couldn't fit some of the stuff from our storage unit, then as they were unloading the truck they had two huge tube-style TVs (45-50", not small sets) in amongst our stuff...no wonder there was "no more room" for our treadmill.

That's just one example, a lot more happened and was never even acknowledged by management (damage, etc) maybe we got a bad crew, but if we ever move again I'll see if the Durham office has a slot.
