I saw those houses and I liked a number of things about them. HOWEVER the minuscule yard (none) and the fact that I could literally touch the house on the side by extending my arm through the window completely turned me off. I actually think they should be called "Charlestownhomes"
It is funny to see all of y'all complaining about the lot sizes and that these are right next to each other. That is the whole point of the Charleston home design. I think they look silly when they are off by themselves, or when the door/porch in discussion above is on a corner lot.
If you want a Charleston style home but more grass look in Falls River. I have a Charletson with .27 acres that backs to heavily wooded area surrounding the neighborhood drainage. Plenty of space for a decent deck, a large playset, and backyard grass to play badmitten, etc. I've seen at least a handful of other Charlestons in Falls River though none specifically for sale at this time. But they do exist.
I not only thank you but must complement you on the quality of your pictures. You did a fantastic job and must be very proud. Gives a great sense of the community and housing available.
I love those homes they are just so gorgeous!!! The only thing I don't like about them is that you can't really have a back yard because of the way the garages sit behind the houses. If I didn't have dogs and did have a few extra hundred thousand dollars laying around I'd LOVE to live in one of those babies. If you've ever been IN them.. they are just as gorgeous on the inside with period details.

I don't think we're complaining about the lot size, just simply saying we couldn't buy one based on the lot sizes. I agree they look much better in a "row-style" closer together than I would want to live. It's not a bad design, it's beautiful especially in the spring, it's just not for me.
