Will I be limited to Lowes or Home Depot for purchasing a shed (or shed kit?). Just wondering if there are other options in the Raleigh area. Hoping to get one purchased and built within the next couple months. We're looking for one that's at least 10 x 14. Thanks!
I ordered a vinyl build-it-yourself shed from online somewhere. That was a few years ago and it has held up real well. Took about 4 hours to build. I think it was $600 or so and the size is 10x12.
Actually hadn't thought about looking online for deal. I'll have to check into that. I guess I thought the shipping would be too much.

You can also call B.D.C., builders discount center. They are out of Zebulon I think, and they will deliver the materials. They have several different sized shed/garage kits so i'm sure they will have the size you are looking for.
We got a shed about a year ago from a place on Capital Blvd close to downtown. I think it was called Heartland Builders. They had several base models to choose from with additional options available. They built it onsite and we've been pleased with it so far.
You might check the building code requirements. In Chapel Hill you can build a shed up to 144 sqft without a building permit. The shed location has to meet the setback requirements for any structure.
Thanks for some other options! I'll definitely check into them. I don't think size will matter where we are as our neighbor just built a 1200 sq. foot detached garage with no problem.
We got our 8 x 12 shed at Hammertime (sp?) on 70 in Clayton for about
$1200 plus shipping. It comes all set up. We took a piece of our siding to Sherwin Williams and matched it, then painted the shed. Good experience...would definately recommend them.

Thanks, Lauren. I've added them to my list of places to check out. I don't think Clayton is too far from me in Willow Spring. I don't actually get moved down there until next week! Should be fun exploring!
