I had laminectomy back surgery in 1998 which removed the pieces of herniated disc fragments which had lodged themselves around the sciatic nerve. This worked great until 2010 when another disc started impinging on the nerve. In the short term ice packs and anti-inflammatories like Ibuprophen provided help. Ultimately I ended up getting 2 epidural injections which got me back to work. Everything seems to be fine now except for occasional pain if I do domething really crazy.
Anyone seen Dr. Bhat at Carolina Back Institute? If so, was he able to relieve sciatic pain? Thanks.
