OK--she's a teenager, pretty voice, needs training We live in Morrisville. I'd REALLY like to find someone who can advise her on things as well as teach (i.e.: encourage her to do chorus at school, etc.).
She has never had lessons, but she did do a year of chorus in middle school.
Ideally I'd have to drive no more than 10-15 min from Morrisville. Thanks!
I'm sending your request to a voice teacher friend who lives in Cary (and has a teenaged daughter ). She is one of the ones I don't think takes beginners, but I'm sure voice teachers refer students all the time. I will PM you what I hear.
If you go to the Meredith College Music school website, you can hunt down a list of teachers. They don't necessarily teach through the Community Music school, some teach in their own homes.

I don't know if the drive is 10-15 mins, but my daughter takes voice lessons at a place in Durham called Infuzion. She's been taking lessons there since last April and really enjoys it. Check out the website: www.infuzion.com.
Thanks again, all! Hopefully we'll find something soon. Davidas, Infuzion looks awesome--it's probably a little far for us (30min) only b/c I have 3 kids, each already in an activity or two.
