Daughter has important BD coming up and I would like to do something special for her. She does not like noisy loud places and it will only be about 4 or 5 girls. I want to stay close to home since transportation might be a problem for a few girls. We can carry 2 extra girls besides our family.
I'm kinda stumped--have you thought of changing the party to a sleepover ? Get lots of junk food , pizza and a really cool cake ? Girls can usually occupy themselves and big sleepovers are memorable--for all!!
Is there a pottery painting place near you? I know there's a place in Cary that does parties - perfect for this age and number of girls. Maybe google around to see? The place in Cary is called Paint Your Pot.
I did a sleepover at Embassy Suites for my daughter when she turned 10.
They swam in the indoor pool, we had pizza delivered, did a craft, manicures, facials & movies w/popcorn & treats.
My DD went to a party when her friend turned 8 this year at Cely's House in Chapel Hill and really enjoyed it. The proprietor is an artist and as I understand it can tailor the party to the age of the kids and whichever activity suits them. I think it would be great!
I forgot to mention that 2 of her friends are allergic to cats and we have 2 so we can't have the party here. I have a few ideas to call about. maybe the planetarium or carrboro art center have party rooms. We still have some time to plan so if you have any other ideas let me know. I don't know of any place around with a ceramic studio.
Of course,Cely's House would be great. I knew the answer was out there. I'll call them today. Thanks so much. One daughter went there 2 years ago and had a wonderful time.
