Hi,

I was wondering what would be the chance for my daughter to get into Farmington Woods elementary (K), currently at a waiting list of 6? This is after Wake updated the magnet waiting list after the proximity round.

I am also curious how many in the waiting list got in last year or prior years.

Also, how often is WCPSS going to update the waiting list in their website? Will it be as it happens or only periodically?

Thanks

Oh, how I wish someone knew the answers to your questions! Since this is the first year with this new plan, I don't know if anyone's past experiences will be relevant to you.

But I have worked in schools and I know that turnover can be pretty high...people on that list will move away, find the money for the private school of their dreams, or get into a magnet or get divorced or a new job and send the child to the school in the other parent's neighborhood. Lots of things can happen to 6 kids.

I got in, but unfortunately it was 1978 so probably not much help. It is hard to believe that school is almost 35 years old! Best of luck with enrollment.
