I take 64 > 1/15/501 > 24 > 485 for Cary 27518 > Charlotte 28277.

We go 64 - 85 near Winston Salem (am not sure if there is another hwy connecting the two for a short distance) and found this better and quicker than US 1 - 40 - 85.
But be mindful of speeding, as there are a lot of cops near the smaller towns along 64.

My son was at Elon so I got to know 64 to 89? out from the Pittsboro bypass to I-40. Or the other option is 64 to just before Asheboro take 220 up to Greensboro to 85 south.

I have a Sister in law in Charlotte and we do 64 to 220 north to 85 south. Most of the times I just want to put it on a highway and cruze control. All depends. I do like the scenic 64/49 at times also.
