I just landed a job with SAS and, coming from another institution (a university) with "lifers" (people who retire there), I can say that the culture is completely different--in a good way. There's a good reason why they're always #1/#2 as far as the best places to work.

I love federal IT. The benefits are good, and it pays well. What extra perks does SAS offer in comparison?

I'd love to see SAS go public.....allowing some employees the opportunity to create businesses of their own from their SAS options (assuming they give options). An event like that might the engine of growth that RTP needs. Until then, we will always be the little sister to Silicon Valley and Route 128 and cousin of Austin.

P.S. Perhaps a SAS IPO would allow Goodnight to pay for The Triangle Expressway since it's his company that bottlenecks 40 for us living in Apex/Holly Springs.

NH2NC = a dreamer.....
