I am new to the Southpoint area would like to find a good stylist to cut and color my hair. The most important thing is a talented and "take the time to cut correctly" stylist (male or female). I live in the vacinity of Southpoint and am looking for an established person who (unlike mall salons) doesn't disappear every other appointment. I can not afford high-end stylists but would love to find a reliable knowledgable person. Who do you like? I do not want to go to downtown Durham as I live off Rt 54. TIA
I guess it depends on what you call "high end." I am very happy with Connie at Studio K, which is in the Woodcroft Shopping Center. I think I pay $40 for a haircut? I've been seeing her for maybe 5 years, and really like her.
I hesitated to reply because you said you didn't want a recommendation in Downtown Durham, but if you are still looking, I highly recommend Kellie Gates at Posh Salon. She is very talented and will take the time to really consult with you about what you are looking for before she starts cutting. I have quite a few other friends who are also Kellie fans.
I pay $50 for a cut. No idea on the cost of color.

I'll 2nd Posh Salon. I recommend Jill. I have long wavy hair that can be a bit unruly. I've always had great haircuts there.
