Does anyone have advice for a moving company? We're moving locally and need someone to pack up, hold on a truck for 48 hours, and unload at our new residence.
We've packed a lot and are still trying to decide if we should pack the remainder or let the movers handle it. Time = money, and right now time is in short supply, but we'll wait until we have more information to make that decision.
We'd obviously like to do this as cheaply as possible, but saving money isn't worth it if stuff is damaged (or worse, goes missing), or if the entire process is a big hassle.
Renting a truck and getting a bunch of friends to help isn't an option on this move.
I used Movin' On Movers Movin On Movers and they were very professional. They moved me the same day though so there are likely additional fees if you need things held. The company was flexible with me as well when I had to change my date as my house wasn't ready to close.
I used Movin on Movers and they are currently storing about half our stuff while we wait for a house...great folks.
We also like TROSA - in fact, we donated things to TROSA and they came and picked them up from the house which was a terrific help toward those last days.
