Yep, like stantheman said, they are everywhere. I'm swinging by Target this afternoon to get some for some Christmas presents I'm making. A 12-pack of the quart jars are usually about $10.

Sometimes Big Lot's will have them, but almost anything is hit or miss with them. I use canning jars for all sorts of things in the garage and they really come in handy. I like to buy them by the case and use as needed.

So far I've tried Craigslist, Food Lion, and Harris Teeter with no luck. Harris Teeter only sells them in spring/summer. Food Lion has Kerr brand mason jars and I'm looking for Ball. Any other ideas where I can buy in bulk?

The Ace Hardware in Seaboard Station (Raleigh) has a good selection of canning supplies. I think they carry the ones imprinted with "Ball"; that's what the website shows, anyway. A case of a dozen quart jars or six half-gallon jars runs about $12.

My daughter bought a box at Walmart. Says Ball on both the glass and lids, and they have multiple sizes.

Go to Walmart.com and search Ball Mason Jars. Tons of them there.

I bought some Ball jelly jars at Wal-mart last night. $7 and some change for a case. They had the quart sized ones as well.
