I was home in time to make dinner at a reasonable time-and I didnt have to stay 45 minutes after school waiting for busses to show up to pick up my kids.
We have some kids that are on the bus over 2 hours each way-seems crazy to me.

7:45-2:40 sounds better than what they have now. In elementary school I think we went from 8:15-2:15, why do they need longer and earlier hours now?

What am I missing on Franklin St?
I wonder why the city can't spend a little money on safety patrols at each bus stop? They can stop cars so kids can cross and make the kids wait to cross.
Another question: Why does EVERYONE need chidcare after school? When I was growing up kids stayed home alone no problems, in 2rd grade and up I was home alone with my brother and sister a lot until my parents got home from work. We even went outside and played with the other neighborhood kids. How can kids learn to be independent these days if they need care to who knows what grade you people do?
