For silliest names I have to nominate Chancellors Ridge in Durham - it's a great community, but can you imagine your 8 year old telling his teacher that he lives on Baccalaureate Boulevard?

Diploma Drive
Coach Terrace
Then of course, there is the epicly named "Green Level to Durham Road" in Cary, but that seems more like a relic of the past than it does a developer being snarky or lacking creativity.
I hope there isn't anyone out there whose middle name richard and living on jones sausage road. I always thought it was the name of your first pet and the street you were born on that made up your porno name.

Our street name is Irish and is 13 letters long. Whew! Try teaching your 5 year old her address with this one. Our street in Portland was a numbered street, which was much easy to remember.
If city's here were divided into quadrants NE, NW, SE, SW it would make duplicates a little easier. It makes it easy for fire and rescue when looking at SE Pine vs NE Pine.
So sneezecake is Brightleaf named after different varieties of tobacco? Or different Tobacco companies, CEOs, etc?
I have no idea why our 'hood has Irish names. It has nothing to do with the previous land owner nor the subdivision name.
One last funny street... there is a Tinker Bell Way or St in Chapel Hill. My daughter wants to move there, my son says no way.
