I am heading down Friday morning from CT to check out the area with my 7 year old son. My husband is already down there working in Rocky Mount. The two areas I have a plan to visit are Lake Royale and Weavers Pond in Zebulon. Does anyone have any other suggestion for a nice area no more than 30 minutes from Rocky Mount? My price range is 150-200k and a family friendly area is my main criteria. I know some people think Lake Royale is isolated, I think as long as I am somewhat close to civilization I will be fine.
